Randy's Creationsfluid acrylic art

The gallery

Every painting is poured once.

Abstract acrylic pours, photographed as they came off the table, alongside glass vases he paints in the same fluid acrylic — many made from the same pour as a canvas, and those are shown as a pair. Tap a piece to see it larger — then tell me if you want it, or want me to make something like it in your colors. The Christmas pieces have their own section, just below.

How it’s made

One pour, my own two hands.

Nothing here is printed, and no two are alike.

Every piece on this site is one I made myself, by hand, one at a time. I mix the paint, I pour it, and I finish it — nothing here comes off a printer or out of a factory. Any piece with a price on it can be bought right here with a card, and the moment it is paid for it comes off the table, because there is only ever one.

The vase and the painting are made from one single pour. I stand the vase on top of the canvas, pour over both at once, then lift the vase off and finish each one. That is why their colors match — they came out of the same lot of paint, so the two really do belong together as a set.

Then I work the paint itself: tilting the piece, spinning it, or moving the colors with a hair dryer. What comes out is one of one. I could not pour the same piece twice if I tried.

Every painting comes ready to hang. I stretch each canvas over a wooden frame, and that frame goes all the way round the sides and the bottom — so you can put it straight on the wall the day it gets home. No framing, and nothing extra to pay to hang it.

For the season

The Christmas pieces have a room of their own.

The reds, the greens and the whites I poured this week, plus a few little bud vases that fit in a stocking. Every one is a one-off.

Christmas sale

Get your gift now, before the prices go back up.

Every painting has come down for the holidays. The price on the card is the price you pay, postage already inside it. The sale runs through the holidays.

Buy two of the small pieces and I’ll do the third at half price.

My paintings run from $25 to $60, and the price is on every card. The small pieces start at $5.

New — sold as a set

One pour. A painting and its vase.

The vase stands on the canvas and the same paint goes over both, so the two are finished from one lot of colour — the green in the vase is the green in the painting. Buy them apart, or take the pair and keep the two together.

New — small pieces

T light candleholders

Little hand-painted glass holders, small enough to sit on a windowsill or a shelf beside a chair. Drop a tea light inside — a real one, or a battery one so there is no flame to watch — and the paint lights up from the inside.

I photographed every one of these twice: once with the candle lit and once with it empty. The lit photo leads each listing, and the plain one sits beside it so you can see the glass itself.

6 holders, and no two of them alike — the paint would not make a second one. Put a tea light in and they carry a whole corner of a room.

New — resin

Resin coasters

Clear resin, poured by hand with the colour swirled through it and a scatter of fine metallic flakes that catch the light. They come four to a set, and no two of the four are the same.

One set is one price. This is a set, so it sits outside the two-small-pieces offer — that one is for the candle holders, the bud vases and the heart shaped dishes.

For the season

Halloween pumpkins

Little pumpkins I paint by hand, seven dollars each. I seal one first, then pour the paint over the top and let it run down. Every one comes out different, so the colors on yours will not be the colors on the one beside it — and a few of them have glow in the dark paint worked into the pour, so they light up once the room goes dark.

They are for looking at, not a toy and not for eating from, so keep them where a small child cannot put one in their mouth. And they are only here for the season — the pumpkins come off the site after Halloween.

$7each

A small pumpkin I paint by hand, seven dollars each. I seal one first so the paint has something to hold on to, then pour the colour over the top and let it run down the sides. Every one comes out different, so yours will not be the one in the photo. Some have glow in the dark paint in them. It is for looking at — not a toy, and not for eating from, so keep it away from small children who might put it in their mouth.

Order one here and I’ll pick you a hand poured original — they are all different, so the one that arrives will not be the one in the photo. If you have a color in mind, tell me and I’ll match it as close as the paint allows.

Call or text me and I’ll put one aside for you.

How it arrives

Nothing to put together.

A painting
Every painting is on a canvas stretched over a wooden frame. It comes ready to hang — the wood the canvas is stretched over goes straight onto the wall, and there is nothing to assemble and no hanging hardware with it. A frame is not needed; I think one makes a painting stand out more, but that is only my own opinion.
A vase
Every vase comes ready to use, and there is nothing to do to it first. Just add flowers and water, or make an arrangement out of fake flowers.

Made to order

Your colors, poured to order.

I take made-to-order work as well as what’s already on the table. Tell me the colors and I’ll match the room they’re going in — a paint chip, a photo of the rug, or just the name of a color you like is plenty to work from. It’s the same paint and the same hands, whether it’s a painting, a pair of them, a vase, or a bowl. Get in touch and we’ll talk it through before anything gets poured.

Photos are of finished pieces as they were made, and a size or a price shows only where Randy has set one. Where there is a price there is a Buy button — pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay and the piece is yours; it comes off the table the moment you pay, because every one of these is a one-off. The price includes postage: Randy packs each piece carefully and posts it to you, wherever you are. Anything without a number is open to a conversation — ask about any piece and he’ll tell you in a minute. Colors render a little differently on every screen, so if a shade matters, ask and he’ll send a closer look.

None of these quite it?

Tell me the colors you're after and I'll pour something that hasn't existed yet — a canvas, a pair, or a big piece for a wall that's still bare.
